Israel Bachar, the Consul General of Israel in Los Angeles, addresses the gathering, offering his gratitude to the teachers in the room as “the true guardians of the community.” He notes that Jewish education is the connective tissue of the Jewish people and educators are the key to maintaining its strength. “You are dedicating your lives to making sure future generations have a strong Jewish identity and pride in their Jewish heritage,” Consul General Bachar says. “I’m seeing that pride more and more every day.”
