2022 Jewish Educator Award recipient Larry Kligman, head of school at Abraham Joshua Heschel Day School, tells the audience that Heschel Day School has been his home since 1978, when he was a student. His mother taught there for more than three decades. “I loved our school so much that when I graduated college, it was exactly where I wanted to work,” he says. Before being named head of school in 2013, Mr. Kligman graduated from Heschel himself in 1985 and has served as dean of students, middle school director and associate head of school. His wife Dana teaches sixth grade social studies.
