Dr. Gil Graff, executive director of BJE: Builders of Jewish Education, welcomes guests to the 32nd annual presentation of the Jewish Educator Awards, celebrating outstanding teachers and administrators in Los Angeles’ 36 BJE-affiliated Jewish day schools. Dr. Graff notes that the Hebrew letters with the numerical value 32-“lamed” and “vet”-carry special significance as the spelling of the Hebrew word lev, or heart. “The Milken Family Foundation is at the heart of advancing Jewish education, and BJE is proud to join in this extraordinary program,” he writes in a letter with BJE President Bennett Spiegel in the 2022 Jewish Educator Awards brochure.
