2024 Jewish Educator Award recipient Einav Telem, fourth grade Judaic studies teacher at Valley Beth Shalom Day School, thanked her colleagues and honored her family members. She then explained that teaching has always served as her calling and guide, even during challenging times. “In this week’s Torah portion, Jacob embarks on a difficult journey, confronting fears and finding growth through challenges. Our journey as educators asks us to do the same,” Einav said. “We meet challenges head on.” Her students – a source of strength – are daily reminders of the “profound impact of education.”
